I'm pretty much ready to get back into the swing of things at this point. I ordered a couple broadband panels from ATS Acoustics (because I didn't feel like DIY-ing more panels, and I was out of materials anyway) Right now they're just resting on the floor, but I plan to put them on stands rather than wall mounting. They did the job though. WIth these two in place, the large null in the frequency response is much much less problematic now. I reduced the null by a good 6 or 7 dB.
There is still a narrow band null at around 520Hz, but I Think that's less of an issue than the other null. Probably just need to tweak the speaker or mic position slightly. Otherwise, the response and decay times are looking great! Pretty close to about +/- 5dB in here, which is not half bad for a room not built to purpose from the ground up.
I also ordered a mic stand bag to make it easier to haul my stands around when I go out to record on-site. That should be here next week. So yeah, time to start putting out ads again, and see if I can drum up some recording work!
