Hope everyone had a good Valentine's weekend!  At this point, I pretty much have everything needed to get some good quality ensemble recordings. I ended up getting a 13.5 ft. tall Matthews lighting stand, and an adapter to attache the ORTF mount. So, good to go on that front!  The only downside is, the stand is silver, which might be distracting.

I also upgraded the main computer quite a bit, so that should be good to go for at least another 3 years or so. The last acoustic measurement turned out okay, and I don't think I can make this room much better acoustically. Pretty good frequency response, and good decay times/topt-30 graph should help me get some pretty good mixes. Much much much better than the smaller room back in Iowa, anyway.

I've also been moving forward with trying to network with people, and get the word out about the live recording services I do. Luckily, it seems people have been taking the business cards I put out, so hopefully I'll have some new contacts in the near future!  I've also been trying to get in touch with the school district, because I really want to make some good ensemble recordings, and see if I can help out with fund raising in some way.
